SUMMER SESSIONS

* Session One and Session Two will be filmed for Fashion Week 2007 and future Wee Scotty publicity!

Along the lines of Wee Scotty Designer Sessions, we will be designing, but designing for a Board of Judges. The Judges have been hand selected from prominent local design companies and colleges. These two sessions are for students interested in being part of SFFW. So many students are excited about watching Project Runway it will be so fun to show your creative side and how far we can take our ideas together. I will mentor students through projects at the request of our Board of Judges. The Board will review each designer in the assignment on various levels & a final selection will be determined on the fashion runway at O’ Reilly’s Holy Grail on June 28th. The Lead Designer chosen will have a chance to partake in San Francisco Fashion Week and feature their designs among their peers; they will also receive one full session at Wee Scotty to obtain assistance in designing for Fashion week. The students who enroll in these two sessions will also have first choice at modeling participation in the show. Please check www.weescotty.com for details and contest rules.Snacks Served.

Designer Accessories with Embroidery
10 to 1pm - Four Sessions: $250

Accessories are the way to go for hot summer style! Cool hats, stylish purses. And the best part is…you’re the designer! Please bring 1 yard of light-weight denim and 1 yd of a woven printed fabric to your first day of class.

*SESSION FOUR: July 16, 17, 18, 19

Funky Beachwear
10 to 1pm - Four Sessions: $250

Everyone needs something trendy for the beach! Create a light-weight tunic or wrap to go over your bathing suit with a funky beach bag to match. Please bring 2 yards of printed cotton woven fabric. Snacks served.

*SESSION FIVE: July 23, 24, 25, 26 *CLASS FULL

Sizzling Summer Dresses
10 to 1pm - Four Sessions: $250

Design a stylish new dress for those lazy summer days or that upcoming trip to the tropics! We’ll be taking a unique look at different ways to finish a garment, experiment with decorative stitches, and create fancy embellishments. Please bring 2 yds of a cotton woven fabric for sz. sm/med and 2.5 yds for sz L. Snacks.

Hot Summer Skirts with Embroidery
10 to 1pm - Three Sessions: $250

Bubble skirts, flared skirts, a-line skirts….the possibilities are endless! Create a cool skirt just for you and embellish it with custom embroidery on our top of the line Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. Please bring 1.5 yards of woven fabric to your first day of class. Snacks served.

Summer PJ’s & Nightgowns
10 to 1pm - Four Sessions: $250

This class has always been a great beginner session. You will learn the basics of patterns, fabrics, and stitching. Bring comfort and style to your summer nights! Please bring an oversized tee-shirt and 1.5 yards of cotton woven fabric for sizes small/medium and 2 yards of cotton woven fabric for size large. Snacks Served.

*SESSION EIGHT: August 13, 14, 15, 16 *CLASS FULL

NEW PEE WEE (Ages 5, 6 & 7) SESSION ADDED: 2-5PM CALL FOR INFO

Rip and Recycle!
10 to 1pm - Four Sessions: $250

Create with Bay Area Artist Melanie Miguel. She has been recycling clothing for client’s friends and family for years and is currently writing a how-to book for endless ideas on how to reuse clothing we already have. Update an old favorite or include many favorite old tees into a new piece that will accent your collection today. This is a great class for kids. There are so many favorite clothes that we grow out of but still have memories attached. Learn to create that new piece today! Bring a bunch of old favorite garments to the first class.

Summer Skirts with Rip and Recycle Tops!
2 to 5pm - Four Sessions: $250

*SESSION TEN: Thursdays Evenings July 12, 19, 26 *NEWLY ADDED CLASS!*

Rip and Recycle *class especially for high school students and adults!
6-8pm - Four Sessions: $250

Create with Bay Area artist Melanie Miguel. She is currently writing a how-to book for endless ideas on new ways to reuse the clothing we own but never makes it out of the house. Bring in a few things you want to change and let Melanie show you some tricks to wear these clothes with pride! This is a great class for kids to learn about design and use some of those clothes you thought they'd never wear! Please bring 2-4 items in GOOD shape, maybe even a little too big, to the first class.
